Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Angostura 5 Year Old Rum
  • 4 Lime wedges
  • 12 mint leaves
  • 1 part Sugar Syrup
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Soda (Splash)
  • Cracked or Crushed Ice (Hit Cubed Ice inside Tea Towel if you don’t have crushed ice)

Method:

  • Add lime wedges, lime juice, mint & sugar syrup into a tall glass.
  • Muddle the ingredients with rolling pin (press, don’t mash!).
  • Fill the glass two-thirds with crushed or broken ice
  • Add Angostura 5 Year Old Rum
  • Stir frantically to bring all ingredients to the surface
  • Pack with more crushed ice and top with just a splash of soda.
  • Add four dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters.
  • (Note: the glass should be over-whelmed with crushed ice)
