Students Renovate Historic Bahamas Cat Island Kitchen

CAT ISLAND, The Bahamas – Fulfilling a promise to Cat Island native, the late Margaretta Rolle, students of the award winning Indaba Project are working hard to restore Mrs Rolle’s historic detached limestone kitchen in the mystic island. After securing a $6,000 grant from the International Development Bank (IDB), the Indaba Project organized a multi-island project team to help preserve this important part of Bahamian material history.

Historic Photos of Dead Che Guevara Resurface in Spain

Lost for half a century, historic photographs of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara taken by an AFP photographer shortly after his execution have come to light in a small Spanish town, Expatica.com reports. The dark-bearded guerilla leader lies in a stretcher with his dead eyes open, his bare chest stained with blood and dirt, in the eight black and white photographs taken after he was shot by the Bolivian army in October 1967.
